If you have a running injury or are a classic ‘weekend warrior’ (you know who you are!) with a sports injury then Anthony’s extensive experience in these fields is what you need. Here’s what one of his many happy patients had to say in their five-star google review:
‘Went to see Anthony here after having an issue with my hip whilst running. Would definitely recommend him. Very knowledgeable and professional in his approach.’
Anthony qualified as a physiotherapist in 2003 from the University of Southampton and then worked at St Thomas’ Hospital where his excellent reputation with some of London’s leading consultants and physicians began. He then went on to work in a number of private practices, schools, and sports clubs.
He has specialised in manual therapy, acupuncture, sports, lower limb and spinal rehabilitation. He aims to provide a service that is both personalized and informative ensuring timely and effective recovery from a range of physical problems. He is currently working towards a Masters qualification in Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
Anthony has a long history dealing with neck and back issues from simple strains to more complex longer standing issues. In particular, he looks towards long term solutions for ongoing problems through thoughtful advice, targeted hands-on therapy and the development of an appropriate specific exercise program with preventative lifestyle habits.
He is highly experienced in treating everyone from the weekend warrior to international level athletes in areas including running, rugby, hockey, netball, dance, water polo, and skiing. This experience has included leading specialist services for running biomechanics and training providing movement assessment, video analysis, and bespoke prehabilitation. His areas of interest extend to hip, knee and ankle injuries in the sporting population with a key emphasis on ensuring timely return to sport following injury and developing strategies to ensure minimal chance of reoccurring issues.
Outside of work Anthony captains a local Sunday league football club, whilst running to keep himself fit as a fiddle! He enjoys watching the arts, music, theatre and spoken word.
