After a getting a stress fracture in my 2nd metatarsal, I’ve been regularly to see Hilary at Octopus. Hilary started with the basics, reviewing my posture and alignment, and over the last few months we’ve worked through a programme to improve my strength and balance, finally reviewing and working on improving my running technique. My stress fracture has had really positive side to it, the treatment has been revolutionary and done more for my running than a thousand miles of pavement pounding. Despite being off running for the best part of 3 months I’ve come out the other side much stronger and faster and I’m sure that I’ve done a lot to reduce the chance of future injury. I only wish I had know all this before getting injured. I would certainly recommend Octopus and Hilary, even if you you’re not injured and just want to improve you running.
